If you are in and around West 4th, I recommend you check out Fable, a restaurant focusing on serving it up 'farm to table'.

The food is unpretentious as is the setting with approachable, quality ingredients. A nice spot to bring your mom or mom-in-law. We went for brunch and had the Fable Stew and Fable muffin.

I think what sets this place above most places is their attention to details like the house made tomato jam. Nice place, reasonable wait times, accommodating staff, casual setting, acceptable prices.
