Richmond is the playground of the chinese food enthusiast but when it comes to the West Richmond area it can be barren. Luckily when I need to get a fix close to home I can go to Timmy Kitchen in Steveston.

I'm not a big fan of their americanized chinese food - sweet and sour pork, etc.. but This is not their forte. Timmy Kitchen dies authentic chinese dishes well. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the indulgence of a honey garlic pork rib as much as the next person but you are better off getting it from the food court at Yaohan.

Their dine-in promotion is a great deal. For $25.99 have one lobster and one crab prepared the chinese way with a green onion garlic sauce. Delish!

Jenny and I like to order the Garlic On Choy, Pea Tips, and Deep Fried Tofu with two kinds of Mushrooms dishes to eat with the crab. Their vegetarian options are so flavourful that even confirmed carnivores wont' miss the meat.

Here is their menu.
