Handmade with love by a german lady? Yes please!

There are countless hot dog vendors all over Vancouver, but the distinction of the best Hot Dog in Vancouver goes without a doubt to Dougiedog. The difference is knowing that it's a pretty healthy dog, super juicy with no fillers/byproducts, and has a signature european weiner style snap. It's guilt and ick free, with indulgence plastered all over it.

Proprietor Dougieluv really LOVES hot dogs but he wanted to know why hot dog love is so universal. He traveled all over North America seeking the answer, and documented his journey in 'dougiedog the dogumentary'. He opened shop on Granville Street with 10 of the tastiest dogs and added 15 of his own flavors, all based around an all natural weiner - no fillers, no nitrates, handmade by a German woman in Abbotsford.

The shop eventually closed and reopened under the food truck concept. His concept has been on Dragon's Den.

My favourite has been the Charlie Mac (a macaroni and cheese dog) but I'm not above a trailer park dog (one with potato chips).
