Who's as excited as I am that someone finally made an appropriately sized personal babybel
John and I are big fans of The Farm House Natural Cheeses. The cheese truck rolls up every other Sunday at the Steveston Farmer's Market in Richmond and we book it there on our bikes to meet it as it arrives in hopes of scoring some of their small batch butter, creme fraiche, chevre, cheese curds, and whole milk. This butter is intensely flavourful and is a natural deep yellow colour due to the milk coming from pasture fed Guernsey and Brown Sweet cow's milk. We weren't able to score the butter this time, but I did pick up some curds for a mid week poutine and one of their mini Gouda's ($20).
I managed to resist the chevre this time as I'm pretending I'm trying to lose weight. I just end up eating the chevre in one sitting of True Blood anyways. It's fleeting but it's the best hour of my week.
For those who love cheese (everyone) it doesn't get any better than this in the lower mainland. Come try their cheese. I have yet to be disappointed by anything from this truck.
Remaining dates for the rest of the year are July 20, August 3 and 17th, September 7 and 21st.
For a good time. Pick up any of these.
