Lukes General Store

by Ivy Haisell in Vancouver

We were a fan of the Luke's General Store pop-up shop in Chinatown, so were excited to pay a visit to their brick and mortar shop when we saw that Four Barrel Coffee was now being sold there. There is a seating area where you can enjoy a cup of brewed coffee and Cartem's doughnut among other thoughtfully curated food goods such as preserves, chocolates, and coffee brewing paraphernilia.

Coffee fans will be pleased to know that the Four Barrel beans were incredibly fresh. We did a pour over this afternoon and discovered a tremendous bloom. Yay for fresh beans!

Upstairs you will find the necessary items for any East Van Gentleman's dopp kit as well as some nice blankets and a selection of records.

I was delighted to find the ever so scarce The Farmhouse Butter for sale in their fridge. I immediately palmed two of the precious gold bars. Usually the butter can only be had if you drive all the way to their store out in Agassiz. This butter is crazy delish and well worth the $9.

Great little shop.
